Net Neutrality Debate
Today VonTV.net had a great panel discussion on Net Neutrality, and one of my favorite bloggers, Harold Feld of WetMachine (also VP of Media Access Project) was one of the Net Neutrality Proponents. Marvin Ammori
General Counsel at Free Press, was also on the Proponent side of the table. Ken Ferree of the Progress & Freedom Foundation, and Lawrence J. Spiwak of the Phoenix Center were on the con side of the table, arguing for “Market Forces” and less regulation.
This was a fun event. VonTV live streamed it and members of the audience were able to send in questions for the panelists. Out of five or six I sent, only one wasn’t asked, and every one of my questions sparked a heated debate between members, especially when I (repeatedly) brought up the questions on Local Loop Unbundling and the lack of Broadband competition in the US.
Yes, Harold, I was feeding your opponents the means to deliver your talking points, and you picked up on every one of them. And I hope to do it again next time an event like this happens, too!

Dude, Marty asked at one point “do any of you know BJ? He has a lot of questions.” “Yeah,” I said. “He’s a major blogger on this stuff.”
It was a fun event, and I was glad to get the help.

ooh. Major Blogger. Hmm.
I like that almost as much as what one of my favorite clients, Scott Buel, calls me. Whenever he needs something done on his website he starts the email, “Web Goddess”.
