Bush is punishing Congress, and hurting the American People
Bush did it again. Dubya, the brat, didn’t get his way, so he got even, and has hurt the future of Social Security, the environment, and meaningful consumer protections. How? He made Recess Appointments to some important posts KNOWING that the people he appointed were not in the country’s best interest and that they would have been voted down by Congress. So much for the bipartisan cooperation promised by Dubya. The minute he gets some opposition this is the result, and it doesn’t matter to him that Congress is simply enacting the will of the majority of its constituency.
I just wish he’d take his bat and ball and go home.

I have enjoyed your Blog for a little over one month. I cannot tell you that I agree with everything you say.
I will tell you that I believe you present your positions in an amazing and articulate way. This alone is such a refreshing breath. It makes me believe that somewhere, deep down inside us all, remains the revolutionary spirit that, like it or don’t, IS the definition of America.
Thank you for the hope.

Thanks, Bud! It’s nice to know somebody actually reads this stuff!
And I’d be interested in hearing what you don’t agree with. This is, after all, a conversational site. I have no problem debating an issue here, and you might actually convince me I’m wrong. Stranger things have been known to happen.
