FISA, PAA and the Telecom Lobbyists
Glenn Greenwald at Salon has a pretty complete wrapup of what’s going on with FISA and PAA, the telecomm immunity issue, and the trashing of our Constitution and Rule of Law. And though the tie to Impeachment isn’t made, it’s pretty obvious from the comments that everyone knows that this is a gravy train no one in Congress or the current Administration wants to wreck. And spying on the American People (and members of Congress ARE American People, aren’t they?) will happen.
I’ve called the switchboard at Congress to try to get hold of Charlie Dent. Haven’t had any luck, so hopefully it’s experiencing a meltdown. Not that my call will do any good, since Dent is a good little Bush Lockstepper.
