Scary - where is it we LIVE?

Donklephant has a post regarding The Death of Habeas Corpus, which puts into perspective what just happened when the President signed this bill into law.

Frankly, it’s a very scary precedent. In my life, I’ve not before felt quite so uncertain about the legal process. And I’m quite quite law abiding. I don’t even cheat on my taxes, and rarely break the speed limit. I don’t do illegal drugs or do anything that would ever have got me charged with a crime.

Now? I don’t know.
