Taking a HARD look at the Business of Politics

Some interesting reading on Iraq

I think any of us who have, whether early on or later, realized that we have no business being in Iraq, will realize who feels they do have business being in Iraq, to the tune of billions of dollars of profit, by reading some of the Audit Reports coming out of the Special Inspector General’s Office for Iraq Reconstruction.

It’s really way past time for Dems to grow a set of brass ones and stand up to this corrupt administration. This war is all about cronyism, contracts and control of increasingly scarce resources. It has nothing to do with the people who happen to live in Iraq, the government they have or don’t have, nor their way of life. It also doesn’t have anything to do with terrorism in the US, but instead seems to be a huge three card monte game designed to put US taxpayer dough into corporate pockets at the expense of all the other places where that money would be better spent. Like Alternative Energy Resources, which are in direct competition with many of the Profiteering Corporations doing business in the Middle East.

The Commander in Chief says:

The questionnaire that she filled out is an important questionnaire. And, obviously, they will address the questions that the senators have in the questionnaire as a result of the answers to the questions in the questionnaire.
