Support Dodd’s Filibuster against Telecomm Immunity and FOR the Constitution

Today Chris Dodd will most likely be filibustering. Why? Because President Bush and his rubberstamp Congresspeople want to trash the Constitution in order to hide Bush’s illegal activities. They want to grant the Telecomm corporations who spied on US citizens Immunity from Prosecution and hide their activities behind a veil of secrecy posing as “security”. Problem is it isn’t security of the US we’re talking here, it’s the security of the Bushies hiding their illegal and immoral shenanigans. Chris Dodd, a standup guy, will be filibustering against Telecomm Immunity. Please support him.

So far Obama and Biden are standing with Dodd.

Clinton is somewhat wishywashy in her supposed support, which doesn’t surprise anybody. She says she’d support a filibuster on a specific version of the bill, but did not express a firm commitment to block telecomm immunity, and since one of her chief supporters is a Telecomm Lobbyist, and many of Bill Clinton’s former staff are lobbying FOR telecomm immunity, this is the usual doublespeak from the Clinton camp.

UPDATE!! The FISA Bill has been removed from consideration for voting, at least until after the holidays. Senator Dodd’s masterful debate and knowledge of Senate rules, coupled with help from Senators Feingold, Nelson, Brown, Wyden, Boxer and Kennedy, won the day.

Here’s Dodd speaking in front of Congress this morning, from CSpan.
