I can’t wait for November . . .
The House just approved the warrantless wiretapping law (H.R. 5825) King Bush needed to start the ball rolling toward his pardon for his illegal and unconstitututional wiretapping activities. This is a major crap on the Laws of our Land, and political grandstanding by the currently Republican controlled house, who are calling it a test before the election of whether Democrats want to fight or coddle terrorists.
It amazes me how they’re making hay with this. More people get killed in car crashes every year in this country than have been killed here by terrorists in the entire history of the nation, yet you don’t hear the Republicans trying to shut down the highways and promote public transportation. And it’s all because they want to cover up the idiocy in the Oval Office.
According to Yahoo News, “A federal judge in Detroit who struck down the warrantless surveillance program turned aside a government request for an indefinite stay Thursday. U.S. Judge Anna Diggs Taylor said the government could have a week to appeal.” I’m glad someone has some sense. Thank you, Judge Taylor.
