Well, Steve from DeadFishWrapper, your side of the story conveniently forgets to mention how the NSTA has been acting like Nixon and the Watergate plumbers trying to hide the evidence. If the folks at the NSTA weren’t guilty of taking big oil money to push the big oil agenda then they wouldn’t have anything to hide, hmm?

You might be interested in the other side of the story that Ms. David conveniently forgot to mention; namely, that the NSTA offered other means of distribution to their members. Ms. David just didn’t like them, and lied by omission.

[…] According to Laurie David, the author of an op ed piece in the Washington Post last week about the National Science Teacher’s Association’s dubious ties to Big Oil, the NSTA has been ripping webpages out by the roots, and editing out all the evidence of their ties to money donors such as ExxonMobil, Shell Oil, ConocoPhillips and the American Petroleum Institute. Laurie states, “New evidence flatly contradicts statements NSTA has made in defense of its suspect partnerships, and efforts appear to be underway to wipe out online evidence showing that what the oil industry got in exchange was the group’s imprimatur on classroom videos, teaching guides, and other “educational” materials that play down threats like global warming and play up the glories of continued oil dependence.” […]
