Town Meeting with Senator Arlen Specter this Thursday, August 9
For those of you in the Easton, PA area, Senator Arlen Specter will be having a Town Meeting at the Forks Township Community Center, 500 Zucksville Rd, #2 Gym, Easton PA, on Thursday August 9th, at 10:30 AM. Since this isn’t a Federal Government Building, we would think that so-called “subversive” teeshirts and buttons won’t be banned, but it will be interesting to test out the theory. I guess I’ll be looking for a peace sign between now and then . . .
I’m planning, if given the opportunity, to address Telecomm, Broadband and Net Neutrality issues and policy with my question, since Senator Specter has a long history of receiving campaign funding from Telecomm and Cable interests, and has, in the past, sided with the Telecomm/Cable Corporations who fund him, and against the needs and wishes of his constituency.
I hope all you anti Iraq War protesters in the area put in an appearance.
I’ll be there, will you?
